GC Control

Clarity Chromatography StationThe GC Control (o/n A23) unlocks all GC modules in Clarity software. The direct control of Gas chromatographs generaly includes the control of the temperature gradient, inlets, valves, zones, timed events and other options. The scope of control for a specific gas chromatograph can be found in the description of the respective control module.

 

Available GC Control modules:

Agilent 68xx

Agilent 68xxThe Agilent 68xx GC driver can control Agilent 6890, 6890N, 6820 and 6850 GC chromatographs and the Agilent 7683 autosampler. Agilent 7683 autosampler can be controlled only through 6890N, 6820 and 6850 chromatographs.
Clarity can communicate with the GC through HPIB/RS232 interface or using the LAN connection.
The module can control also the Agilent 76xx Autosampler connected through the GC. AS Control (o/n A26) has to be purchased to unlock this possibility.
 

Agilent 5890

Agilent 5890The Agilent 5890 GC driver can control Agilent (formerly HP) 5890A and 5890 Series II chromatograps.
The control is performed over HPIB interface card. The boards supplied by Agilent (see the compatibility table) or the board supplied by DataApex (o/n IHP 58) can be used. The control of the attached autosampler has to be purchased separately (see the AS Control module for HP7673).

Shimadzu GC17A/GC14C

Shimadzu GC17A GC14CThe GC17A/GC14C GC Control module enables direct control of the instrument over serial line.
Direct control means that the chromatograph can completely controlled from the Clarity environment.
Instrument method controlling the analysis conditions will be saved in the measured chromatograms.

Caution! Do not confuse GC14C (model derived from GC17A) with GC14A (older Shimadzu product).
