Clarity Chromatography Station

spacer Clarity is an advanced chromatography station designed to acquire and evaluate data from any commercially available chromatograph with a standard analog output and from selected chromatographs with digital output.

Up to four independent chromatography systems, each of which can be equipped with up to four detectors, can be simultaneously connected.

The chromatography station package includes the Clarity Software and an A/D converter internal PCI card or external USB box.

Features

MeasuringClarity Main Features
Simultaneous data acquisition from up to four independent four-detector chromatographs - 4×4 configuration

Integration

There is extensive possibility to modify chromatograms. The chromatogram can be changed by entering global
parameters or interactively, through direct graphic modification of the baseline.

Overlay

Simultaneously displays a virtually unlimited number of chromatograms and their mathematical modification; for
example, mutual deductions or derivations of any order.

Calibration

Internal and external standard calculation methods, calibration of groups of peaks and reference peaks method for better identification.

Automated measuring support

Sequence tables for any set of samples with or without an autosampler.

Postrun
Automatically displays, prints, exports and starts other programs after the completion of a measurement.

Summary result tables
Displays and prints selected results from all simultaneously displayed chromatograms.

User settings
User selects parameters for peak display and the specification for axes, including color from an extensive array of color settings. Text labels and lines, either as part of the area or anchored to a chromatogram, may also be inserted.

Export
Optional exportation of all results, with or without the chromatogram, in various formats, into a file or clipboard.

Import
Imports chromatograms or mathematical curves, which have been saved in text or AIA formats, from other programs.

Method and calibration history
Each chromatogram can easily be displayed under the same conditions as when it was printed, exported or saved.

Column performance
Calculations of peaks in terms of symmetry, efficiency, resolution; all by several methods (tangent, moments, etc.).

Batch

Automatically batch processes, displays, exports or prints any number of chromatograms.

User calculations
Users can define custom calculations in the Result and Summary tables. Using the integrated editor you can create your own columns from original columns and individual mathematical functions.

User accounts
Sets up access rights and passwords (including their parameters e.g., minimum length, validity, etc.). Each user can define his or her own station appearance.

Audit trail
Records selected events and operations into a special file. Records selected operations directly into a chromatogram.

Electronic signature

Each chromatogram can be signed electronically. Signature selection is based on the username or the signature certificate.

Networked Solution
Clarity chromatography station files can be accessed from networked computers using Clarity Eval software. This enables the offline evaluation of chromatograms, development of new methods and printing reports.

Instrument Window

Clarity Instrument Window

The Instrument window is the control center of the whole process of data acquisition and evaluation.
The Information Table displays the processed sample: Name, applied template method, acquisition mode, etc.
The Status Line indicates the current state of the analysis: elapsed time and state.
The Analysis-processing Diagram provides icons for fast access to every process of the whole procedure.

Clarity Window

Clarity Window

The Clarity window is an entrance point to individual chromatography systems. Depending on the configuration users can acquire data from up to 16 detectors configured on four independent Instruments.

Chromatograph Window

Chromatograph WindowThe Chromatogram window displays the chromatogram and results. Users can easily edit acquired chromatograms visually in the graph or through Integration table.
The Result tables (Results, Summary, Column Performance, etc.) can be easily customized to display the data you want see exactly in the way you want to see them.
The Summary tab displays data from overlaid chromatograms in one table for easy comparison.

Calibration window

Calibration Window
The Calibration window has two main screens, a global calibration table and dedicated tabs for each compound (on the screenshot)
The compound tabs contain a table with concentration levels matching the response with Amount and a calibration curve.
Any point can be temporarily suspended in the graph it is then marked with a circle instead of a cross.

Digital Outputs

Digital Outputs
The A/D converters supplied by DataApex provide digital outputs that can be used for Start synchronization with other devices.
These outputs can be also controlled from the Event Table.

21 CFR Part 11 toolsClarity 21 CFR Part 11 compliance

Clarity, Clarity EA and Clarity Offline softwares provide variety of tools supporting the GxP practices. These tools enable to configure the chromatography station in a way to comply with the requirements of the 21 CFR Part 11 directive of the FDA. This ensures its suitability for use in regulated environments.
Clarity Lite does not contain some these tools and so it is not recommneded for use in regulated environments.
Supporting tools for 21 CFR Part 11 requirements

1. Software Validation

Certificate of Software Validation is available upon request.

2. Installation Qualification

The Test IQ (Installation Qualification) is an integral component of the station. This test monitors that the software has been properly installed and the results can be accessed from a printed protocol.

3. Operational Qualification

Validator for OQ (Operational Qualification) is an optional package available for testing and validating the station. This is accomplished simply with the use of our chromatogram generator and a software utility.

4. Logon with Password

5. User Accounts

Selectable rights, unique user profiles This system allows to create a unique password protected profile for each user. The user profile then defines in detail the user's rights within the station (e.g. authority to effect changes in the methods of measurement) and may limit ones access to only certain connected instruments.

6. Password expiration and minimal length

7. Electronic Signatures

Electronic signature implemented. A user may sign his or her data. This electronic signature is stored with the name and date and supplemented with a set phrase (e.g. measured by, approved by, etc.). Two types of electronic signature have been implemented: a) using user accounts b) using a certificate The signature information associated with the signing that indicates the printed name of the signer, the date/time, and the meaning, is included in any readable form of the records (see par 11).

8. Audit Trail

Audit Trail of whole system, chromatograms, calibrations and sequence. Audit Trails are part of corresponding files. Detailed logs and histories of modifications enable users to maintain an audit trail. The station documents all parameters describing the conditions and methods of data processing for the user. This allows for easy access to a complete profile of information regarding any prior modification's performance.

9. Record of all changes

History of all methods and calibrations as part chromatogram files

10. System Suitability Test

- method performance and system consistency monitoring

11. Printed reports

- page numbering, labeled with date and time of analysis and print out, includes information about applied electronical signatures. Reports can be printed to electronically signed PDF files.
